The mosque or mosque is a place of worship for Muslims or Muslims. Mosque means place of prostration, and another name for mosque in Indonesia is musholla, langgar or surau. The term is intended for mosques that are not used for Friday prayers, and are generally small in size. Besides being used as a place of worship, the mosque is also the center of Muslim community life.

The activities of big day celebrations, discussions, religious studies, lectures and learning of the Qur'an are often carried out in mosques. Even in the history of Islam, the mosque also plays a role in social activities to the military.
