The growth of energy consumption causes greenhouse gas emissions which is the main factor of human influence on global climate.
To reduce this negative effect, it is necessary to engage in energy conservation.
And it depends on each of us since we affect the climate somehow.
To assess the effects on the climate of each of us we can calculate the "carbon footprint" - the amount of greenhouse gas that is produced by our activity.
In the framework of the UNDP-GEF project and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Low-carbon urban development" it was prepared a mobile application for the calculation of the carbon footprint of your household (an apartment or private home), your transport, purchases and workplace.
By answering simple questions the program calculates your carbon footprint and makes recommendations to reduce it.
