Mezio-Gião is a burial site. In truth, more than the places where they lived at, we know better the places where those communities deposited their dead during ancient times - the barrows; as well as the art they created.

This application allows you to explore this sacred grounds with the support of a GPS map, audio guide, image galleries and brief descriptions.

On Gião's national amphitheater there is one of the most important locations of cave paintings on the Northwest of the Iberian Peninsula with over one hundred carved rocks.During recent ancient times, it was here where a "sacred" area of symbolic, geometric figures was created with a large number of stylized human shapes.
