Cough Index Calculator (Boehringer Ingelheim) 2.0

The Cough Index is a tool that will allow you to easily and objectively evaluate respiratory disease symptoms in groving pigs.

A cough index below 2.5 is considered normal, however results should be discussed with your herd veterinarian, especially when index is close to 2.5.

An index above 2.5 usually indicates a respiratory disease, which has to be evaluated by labaratory diagnostics to determine the cause of disease. This can be done through oral fluids, serology or necropsy. Please consult with your herd veterinarian.
