Welcome to this summary of the Minto Pyramid Principle. The MPP is a technique for organizing complex thinking so that you can present it clearly in everyday business documents - memos, reports, proposals, presentations.

I developed the technique in the 1970s while I was working for McKinsey & Company, the world's leading management consulting firm, and have taught it throughout the world ever since. My book, "The Minto Pyramid Principle: Logic in Writing, Thinking, and Problem Solving" has become the standard text used in major consulting, business, and government organizations.
