BiochemRocks is an Annual Newsmagazine produced by the Department of Biochemistry & Biomedical Sciences at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It highlights the department’s activities, including a research funding summary, significant new research awards, undergraduate and graduate awards and a list of MSc/PhD thesis defenses. Select publications from the year are also noted. In addition, there are interviews with current graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, staff and faculty highlights as well as alumni interviews. New initiatives are formally announced, lab updates as well as society updates (undergraduate, graduate, postdoctoral) are included as are outreach activities to local high schools. Finally, key social events are remembered through photographs.
