Surgeons of Lahore organized an association in the early 50's to discuss and share their clinical and operative experience with their colleagues. Anesthetists, Pathologists and radiologists were made associate members of that body of surgeons called association of surgeons of Lahore. In early 80's this association was revived under the convenorship of Prof. Bashir Ahmad, one of the life members of the past association of surgeons of Lahore.
