Founder and Head Trainer of MJM Fitness, Michael Joseph Massetti is an ACE certified Personal Trainer and certified Yoga Instructor.
Michael grew up playing sports and has always maintained a healthy lifestyle. Following his athletic youth, he turned his passion for wellness into a career - studying Kinesiology at Brooklyn College in New York City and completing a 200-hour yoga certification course in Hawaii. Upon his return to the Big Apple, Michael became certified in TRX, AFFA Group Fitness, Cardio Sport, and Advanced Nutritional Programming to be able to deliver well-rounded, rigorous, and effective lifestyle training regimens to his clients.
In addition to having managed the Fire Island Pines Gym, Michael has been providing private personal training services internationally since 2013. In his free time between training clients and running his businesses, Michael still finds time to keep up with his own fitness and educational goals through participating in triathlons and obstacle courses such as Tough Mudder, as well as attending various health and fitness conventions. These years of his training, education, and experience has contributed to the foundation of the MJM Fitness Philosophy [link].
Currently based in New York City, Michael and his team are available to guide beginners on their wellness journey or to coach seasoned athletes seeking to push themselves to the next level of fitness.
