Cardinal AR - Ball State 2.1

The Digital Corps and Sports Link at Ball State University are thrilled to bring a new and innovative app to the community! Cardinal AR uses augmented reality technology to interact a digital experience overlaid in a real-world space, using nothing but your smartphone.

First up, view some of our players from the Ball State football team as 3D models. Through a process called photogrammetry, we captured hundreds of photos of each player to create the models. Pull up the player profiles during Ball State football games to learn more about who is on the field and their stats.

Get excited for game day and scan the Charlie Cardinal logo to unlock a video produced by Sports Link, an immersive learning experience that has emerged as a national leader in sports media and production.

Finally, you can explore a 3D model of Ball State’s campus. Project the model on any tabletop or flat surface to learn about the buildings and landmarks that define our campus.
