Atoms and Ions 1.03

Atoms and Ions is a model of the atom to show animated atoms or shell diagrams. You’ll use it to cover:
• The numbers and positions of protons, neutrons and electrons in the atom
• How particles in the nucleus determine the isotope, atomic number and mass number
• How electrons are arranged in atoms and how we show this in shell diagrams
• How ions have stable electron arrangements
• How scientists use symbols to represent atoms and ions.
