The Trans-Siberian railway is connecting Europe and China, extending the wide gauge network over 9.500 km through Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. In Europe and in China the cross-over from the wide gauge to the normal gauge is effected through special equipped terminals positioned in Brest (Belarus)/ Malaszewicze (Poland) for the northern connection, and Chop (Ukraine)/Dobra (Slovakia) or Zahony (Hungary) for the southern connection. In the Far East the main cross-over point is Zabaikalsk (Russia) /Manzhouli (China); from there 90% of our shipments are operated.
