The Service Roundtable Coffee Break App is designed to give you an instant look at what employee downtime means to your business. It will quickly calculate how much gross profit is being lost due to non-productive time for your revenue-generators.

It could include any type of downtime and should be reviewed with all employees. Some obvious examples include the extended coffee break, technicians lingering too long at a parts house, poor navigation while driving or even downtime due to service techs waiting on a call, being given inaccurate information, unreliable vehicles, or a lack of training.

In addition to the lost time calculations for a single incident or ongoing waste for a year, we also added two fields to show how much you now need to sell to compensate for that lost time.

Use this calculator with individuals or in a group to help illustrate how small breakdowns in your system can have a big effect on the company.

This calculator is based on the lost Gross Revenue and Profit opportunity and it only requires you to input four fields: Annual Gross Revenue (either previous or projected), Gross Profit Margin, Number of Revenue-Generating Employees and the Amount of Time Lost in combined minutes.
