How to Make a Ring Bearer Pillow
Have your ring bearer carry a handmade pillow on your wedding day. After the big day, the pretty cushion will become a cherished keepsake, especially because you made it yourself.

Tools and Materials:
For this project, you will need 3/8 yards woven fabric, 1-1/2 yards of 3-inch-wide silk ribbon, 1-1/2 yards of 1-inch-wide silk ribbon, 5/8 yard silk string, Poly-Fil, basic sewing essentials (scissors, pins or binder clips, thread, sewing machine) and Fray Check

DIRECTIONS:
- Cut Fabric Squares
Cut two 11” squares of fabric. These will be your pillow front and back pattern pieces. Cut two 24” pieces of the 3-inch ribbon and two 24" pieces of the 1-inch ribbon.

- Attach Ribbon
Lay one of the 1-inch ribbons directly on top of one of the 3-inch ribbon pieces. Match up the side edge. Place the ribbon on top of one pillow pattern piece, in the very center of the pillow along the side edge. Pin in place and then sew along the side edge using a 1/4” seam allowance. Repeat for other ribbon pieces on the other side of the pillow.

- Pin Squares Together
Place one pattern piece on top of the other pattern piece, right sides together. Pin around all side edges. Make sure the ribbon is safely secure in the middle. Sew all around the sides, leaving a 4-inch opening for turning right-side out.

- Turn Right Side Out
Turn the pillow right side out through the 4-inch opening. Iron it flat.

- Stuff Pillow
Stuff the pillow with Poly-Fil. You want the pillow to be nice and smooshy, not too full or too stiff.

- Sew Opening
When you are satisfied with the stuffing amount, pin the opening closed; make sure the raw edges are all tucked inside. Whipstitch to secure.
