Group History: Automotive Manufacturers Private Limited
The Company was incorporated in the year 1948 under the stewardship of Shri Manharlal P. Sanghvi (Founder Chairman)
During the years 1949 to 1955, Automotive assembled approximately 2000 Leyland and Albion vehicles at its Kurla (Mumbai) workshop.
1955 onwards the Company concentrated its energies in marketing and rendering after-sales-service to the products of Ashok Leyland Ltd., Madras.
After the reorganization of the states in 1956, the Company spread its periphery of activities in the States of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh
The Company under its belt has:
- 30 branches/Outlets in Maharashtra,
- 41 branches/ Outlets in Andhra Pradesh
- 13 branches / Outlets in Gujarat, besides other sales and workshop outlets.
