MedTap 1.0

MedTap is a new medicine information app, developed by clinicians at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation.

Using MedTap you can access short videos providing similar information to what is discussed in consultations, in a clear language, all from NHS healthcare professionals. It’s like having a recorded version of your consultation on your phone, 24 hours a day. You can access the specific information you need, at the time when you need it the most.

This first release has information on medicines after a heart attack, anticoagulants in atrial fibrillation and frequently asked questions relating to side-effects and supply. You can also record information, such as up-to-date medication lists, results and appointments to share with your doctor and help to make managing your condition easier.

MedTap is designed for patients and their family members who have a condition listed in the app. The MedTap app doesn’t share any of your personal information. You can be assured that the medicines, appointments and test results recorded through MedTap are only available to you from your phone.

The MedTap team will continue to expand the app to include more conditions. Keep checking back for updates.
