Richard Challoner (1691–1781) was an English Roman Catholic bishop, and a leading figure of English Catholicism. He is perhaps most famous for his revision of the Douay-Rheims translation of the Bible. He is also famous for this work in which he provides meditations for each day of the year. A spiritual classic that can help Catholic connect with the daily mass readings.
