C.H. Spurgeon (1834 - 1892) fame rose quickly in his time and he became one of the most influential preachers of all-time. He was known for his biblical powerful expositions of scripture and oratory ability. Today is known as the "Prince of Preachers." He was the pastor at the Metropolitan Tabernacle in downtown London, England.

He was part of the baptist church movement and he defended and preached Christ and Him crucified and the purity of the Gospel message.
