The International Railway Safety Council (IRSC) is a global network which connects international railway regulators, operators and experts, to exchange experience and lessons for improving railway safety around the world. The Council meetings have been held annually since 1990. Co-organised by Electrical and Mechanical Services Department of the HKSAR Government and MTR Corporation Limited, the 27th IRSC is held in Hong Kong, China between 22 October and 27 October 2017 with the main theme of "Railway Safety - Innovation and Collaboration".
